Our 2019 Local Convention is approaching on Saturday, June 8, 2019.
The Local Convention is the highest deliberative body of Philly DSA and is held every two years for the election of a Steering Committee (the officers, permanent committee chairs, and at-large members), the adoption of a political platform, the determination of long-term strategic priorities, and the reception of our financial report.
Today, we are opening:
Nominations for elected positions will be open between May 4 and May 28. A full list of approved nominees will then be published on June 1, and elections held at the convention on June 8. Candidates must submit nomination applications in order to be eligible for election.
Platform submissions and nominations for delegates to the National Convention will follow the same timelines.
