After an, uh, interesting week in the 2020 Democratic primary, the Bulletin is excited to offer an unambiguously exciting announcement: our guest speaker at this month’s General Meeting (Saturday February 29, a blessed Leap Day) is none other than The Hill’s Krystal Ball!
With the mainstream media united in opposition to a Sanders presidency, Ball’s punditry on HillTV’s Rising has been a rare bright spot. The show, as slickly-produced as any CNN programming, is unique in its willingness to defy the political establishment (see this week’s segment on “Why Bernie is the real winner out of Iowa”) and talk candidly, for a wide audience, about the importance of class politics.
We’ll also be voting on some important business at the next GM, including a couple potential endorsements. Elizabeth Fiedler (PA-184), Nikil Saval (1st District State Senate), and Rick Krajewski (PA-188) are seeking our support in 2020; we’ll hear speeches from each, and our electoral committee will moderate a Q&A. It’s a packed agenda full of crucial questions for our involvement in the 2020 elections, so please, come out and vote!

Bernie Won Iowa
Look, we’ve had to rewrite this section five times since Tuesday, so if the results here aren’t final, take it up with @IowaDemocrats, BUT: as of 11:54 am on Thursday 6 February, Bernie Sanders has a lead of 2,500 votes (1.5%) in the Iowa caucuses, and, with only a few satellite caucuses left to report, he’s likely to take the lead in “state delegate equivalents” as well. Again, regardless of everything you’ve heard this week, Bernie won Iowa, and you all were a big part of that. Get yourself a treat today to celebrate and then get back on the phones and on doors. We’re going to win.
Sign up for our Bernie Campaign Dispatch (RSVPing to any of our Bernie events will add you to our list) for more frequent, in-depth updates on the 2020 race. 🐀
