Come learn more about Bernie Sanders and find out how to talk to your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and even total strangers about why his ambitious, transformational platform is the best option for working people!

Last year, Philly DSA voted overwhelmingly to endorse Bernie Sanders for President, because his campaign represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for socialists to take power at the national level. Since then, his campaign has released an ambitious slate of proposals that would decarbonize the economy, institute national rent control, strengthen and expand labor unions, fight mass incarceration, cancel all student debt, raise teacher pay, and much more. There's so much that it can be hard to keep up with! At the same time, his opponents in the Democratic primary have been fighting hard to stop Bernie from being able to advance a working class program. Joe Biden, who is currently Bernie's only serious opponent, has tacked hard to Bernie's right, courting corporate donors by attacking these policies as too radical. Recently, he stated that even if a Medicare for All Bill passed the House and Senate, he would veto it because it would "delay" health coverage — a complete lie.

Given the complexity of the Presidential campaign, the number of issues at stake in the 2020 election, it can be difficult to keep all of this stuff straight. But it's vital that we know how to talk about Bernie if we want to persuade people to vote for him in the Democratic Primary. So, at this training, we'll go over exactly how to do that! We'll talk you through the major points of Bernie's policy platform and train you on how to have a productive organizing conversation. Whether you're interested in coming to one of our Bernie canvasses, organizing your fellow union members to push for an endorsement, persuading your co-workers to support the campaign, or winning a debate against the Twitter trolls, this training will give you the tools and information you need!
