Canvass for Chinatown

The pressure is on against the Sixers’ arena — and City Council is feeling it! It’s up to us to keep it up and strike while the iron is hot. Join your fellow Philly DSA members in talking to your neighbors about all of the reasons the arena is bad for our city. From adding extra costs to SEPTA to relying on nonunion labor to staff the arena, along with a laughable community benefits agreement — the rushed process of getting this arena through City Council has been suspect from day one. It’s time more Philadelphians know about it and call their Council Members to tell them NO ARENA IN CHINATOWN! 

We’ll be meeting in Malcolm X Park to go over talking points and canvassing tips and tricks before we head into the neighborhood and start knocking doors. Join us to fight back against the billionaire owners of the arena and stand with the working class people of Philadelphia!
