Learn all about the city budget -- it's process, timeline, and how you can join the community in meaningful engagement to fight for a People's Budget. We'll talk all things public testimony, including how to sign up and give an impactful speech. Then we'll have an Art Build where we will create fun and powerful visuals together for upcoming events!

Philadelphia needs a People's Budget now more than ever. The Trump administration is threatening major federal cuts to healthcare, education, and more, and everyday Philadelphians are struggling to have their basic needs met. Our city budget must invest in essential services and programs that keep our communities safe, healthy, and whole.

What does a People's Budget mean? It means we need the budget to BE ABOUT US! That means investing in safe healthy homes, worker protections, public spaces, mental health care, immigrant support programs, schools, and more.

Last fall’s Sixers arena fight exposed the power of billionaires and Council’s willingness to bow to their demands. While big corporations continue to lobby for big tax breaks, City Council needs to protect people and stand up to the billionaire bullies. Without robust revenue from taxes, our budget demands can’t be met and everyday working Philadelphians will continue to be left behind by those that are elected to serve us.

This budget season, our elected officials will once again be faced to choose sides: will they stand with Big Business and the ultra-rich, or will they stand with the people and invest in our demands for the common good of all Philadelphians?
