After Donald Trump's election, a wave of new members joined DSA. But now, more and more members' have not yet renewed their national dues after their one-year mark. As we prepare for our involvement in the Sanders 2020 campaign, it's crucial that we resume our efforts to increase local dues, pull inactive members back into our campaign work, and continue to re-route national dues to the local.
We're looking for volunteers to phone bank our members. Volunteers will ask each person one of 3 things: either to renew national dues on a monthly basis, to pay local dues, or to cancel local dues payments through Action Network. Don't worry - call lists will be cut so that you only have to make 1 type of dues ask for the entire list. Volunteers need to bring a computer and a cell phone; we send text messages that include links to people who don't pick up rather than leave voicemails.
