At General Meetings we get together to hear reports from projects and committees, set local policy and work priorities, and to debate and vote on resolutions. The assembled membership is the ultimate decision-making body of the local, so participation is crucial. We'll be meeting online due to restrictions on large gatherings, and information on how to join will be published in the meeting agenda the week before the meeting.
Our guest speaker at the meeting will be David Sirota, journalist and former Bernie Sanders speechwriter. Be sure to invite your friends!
We will also be hosting our End of Year Fundraiser at this date, where we will be hosting our Second Annual T-Shirt Design Contest! Submit your best design for a phillydsa tee before 12/6. After designs are collected, whichever shirt earns the most donations will be made into a shirt.
Due to the resignation of the current committee chair, we'll be holding a special election for the position of Member Engagement Committee Chair. You can read about the roles of the committee in our bylaws, and nominations for the position can be submitted here.
