Public schools in Pennsylvania are ageing and often toxic, dangerous places! Students, teachers, and staff face sweltering temperatures without air conditioning and risk exposure to lead, asbestos, and mold. At the same time, we know that buildings are a huge source of carbon emissions, and need to be radically overhauled to address the climate crisis. We have the opportunity to both rebuild our city’s schools to be safe and modern, and create the building blocks of a Green New Deal. Rep. Elizabeth Fiedler and Sen. Vincent Hughes will soon introduce legislation for funding school building repairs.
During this phone zap, we will call our state legislators to demand they support this critical legislation.

If you can't make our event, please use this toolkit to call your legislator at another time!
