DSA Policy and Organizing Training

The end of the Bernie Sanders campaign represents a major setback for our movement. However, the current moment demonstrates why it is so vital that we continue our work. The COVID-19 crisis has left millions unemployed, uninsured, and struggling to afford basic necessities like rent; at the same time, Pennsylvania’s primary has been delayed to June 2 and we have three Philly DSA endorsed candidates running to represent our values in Harrisburg.

At this training, Philly DSA’s Policy Committee will walk through what’s at stake in the primary and why socialists should be involved in state-level politics. Then our Canvassing Committee will provide a training on how to phone bank and organize in this strange moment. Whether you want to phone bank for candidates like the ones our organization has endorsed, organize your workplace, or persuade your friends and family to support socialists, this training will give you useful skills that you can take with you into to your organizing projects.
