During this meeting, Dr. Yarish aims to extend Robinson’s analysis of W.E.B. Du Bois’s contributions to the Black Radical Tradition using the format of a short lecture on Du Bois’s theory of abolition democracy between The Philadelphia Negro and Black Reconstruction followed by a dialogue about past and present labor struggles as they encompass the city of Philadelphia (see preparatory readings list).
