Join Philly DSA and the Rent Control Coalition, which we joined earlier this year to canvass for rent control. The Coalition, as its name suggests, is fighting to make rent control a reality in Philadelphia. This summer, we'll be ramping up our efforts for a long-term campaign, which will begin with a series of canvasses. Each Saturday, from July 17 through August 28, we'll be meeting in a new part of the city and knocking doors to collect signatures on a petition for rent control and to have organizing conversations with our neighbors about stronger tenant protections in Philly.
We hope you can make it out to at least one canvass! Our campaign will only be as strong as the number of our neighbors we can talk to, and to do that we need you to come out to a canvass. You'll be provided with all the materials you need, get trained at the beginning of the session, and pair up with another organizer to start knocking doors. No experience is necessary!
