For almost a year, Starbucks workers across the country have been mobilizing for better working conditions -- from unionizing new stores to meeting the company at the bargaining table.
Though workers have won more than 200 union elections across the country, Starbucks isn't backing down. Their union-busting tactics continue as baristas fight for a fair contract; workers are still being illegally fired for organizing and Starbucks reps even walked out of a bargaining meeting.
Join us for this open meeting, in which we'll discuss the movement's challenges and successes, recap Philly DSA's Starbucks solidarity work, hear from local workers organizing their stores, and let you know how you can plug into this work. Bring a friend!
