Across the globe, demagogues have risen to power on the promise of protecting national interests. Trump's "Make America Great Again," Orbán's “For Us, Hungary Is First!” and Bolsonaro's "Brazil Above Everything" resonated with large swaths of the populace who have been abandoned by the neoliberal order.
