Can workers in Pennsylvania get a decent schedule? After Philly DSA, in coalition with labor unions and progressive organizations, won Fair Workweek legislation in the city of Philadelphia in December 2018, we began to ask this question. Our endorsed candidate Rep. Elizabeth Fiedler introduced statewide legislation. Many labor locals and federations backed her efforts. And now the Philly DSA Policy Committee is weighing in.
The Philly DSA Policy Committee is charged with producing policy papers and recommending policy positions to the general membership of the chapter. Please join us as we present a draft of our paper on a Fair Workweek for Pennsylvania. We will receive your feedback and seek suggestions, as we attempt to build a "policy platform" for the chapter.
