Representative Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) reintroduced the Medicare for All Act in the house on March 17th with over half of the democratic caucus signing on as original cosponsors. The Medicare for All bill would expand and improve Medicare, providing comprehensive care to everyone that needs it for free at the point of service. This would literally be life-saving for the working people of Philadelphia, yet only one of our representatives cosponsored the Medicare for All act of 2019. Those that didn’t claim that they can’t support it because their constituents don’t. This is disgraceful and needs to be shown for the lie that it is.
Join your fellow DSA members for a phone and social media zap to demand that our elected representatives support the people of Philadelphia by cosponsoring the Medicare for All Act of 2020.
We’ll start with a discussion about our chapters' ongoing Medicare for All work, and then we’ll make calls and send emails and tweets together
